BOHO PICNIC STYLING INSPIRATION

Recently, I had the privilege to photograph a dreamy birthday Boho picnic.  The evening was perfect!  The sun was setting, and the blanket was cast in the middle of a field with tall grass.  The temperature was just right, and it was truly magical.  I was so impressed by the design and couldn't wait to share some Boho Picnic Styling Inspiration.

Boho Picnic
My daughter Savanna is the mastermind behind this design.  Her sister, Hannah was having a birthday, so it was a good excuse to have a picnic.

BOHO PICNIC STYLING INSPIRATION

Savanna started with a theme when planning this picnic.  My daughters love the Boho look and since her sister's bedroom is in the boho style, so it was easy coming up with these ideas.

Savanna started by searching the Internet and Pinterest.  After she had collected some inspiration, she began making a list.

PACKING FOR THE PICNIC

I wish I had a picture of how she packed the items for the picnic, but I figured it is just as easy to describe it.

Basically, she used baskets to pack it all in and then she used the baskets as tables at the picnic.

She borrowed a few baskets from our linen closet that is nicely organized. 😉

Every picnic needs a blanket, so she rolled up an old quilt and tucked it into a basket.

Then she placed breakable items around it.

FLOWERS

I love this element of the space!

Something as simple as cut flowers in a vase can make any place smile.

It was a good call since there were no flowers at Miccosukee Greenway at this time.  The flowers were not packed into the baskets.

They had to be carried the whole way from the house to the greenway.

BIRTHDAY SIGN

What's a birthday party without a birthday sign?

Savanna decided a chalkboard would add even more creativity to the picnic.

So again searching on Pinterest for happy birthday signs.  And this little beauty was created.

CANDLES

The candles gave it just the touch of magic it needed.

Pulling out some old bottles, jars, or anything that was glass and could hold either tea lights or taper candles was all this space needed.

DINNERWARE

Transporting your food is where your creativity needs to come in.

Savanna used mason jars for her fruit, white paper napkins and twine for her sandwiches and glass milk bottles with straws for her drinkware.

Boho Picnic

She purchased Trader Joe's pink lemonade which conveniently comes with a screw top lid to serve the lemonade when she got there.

Everything, for the most part, could be eaten by hand, so silverware was not needed.

BIRTHDAY CUPCAKE

Even the cupcake got a jar to sit inside.

This cupcake came from a local bakery in Tallahassee called Lucy and Leo's Cupcakery.

It was just the icing on the cake, pun intended, to complete the birthday event.

SEATING

To make this Boho picnic space more cozy and comfortable, Savanna used some over-sized pillows to lean on.

It did make it comfier and added some more style to her design.

TIME TO PARTY

So, the sun was setting and the blanket was placed.

It was now time to celebrate!

Music was playing with a Bluetooth speaker, the candles were lit and the crickets were playing nature's song.

It was truly a beautiful evening for the birthday girl.

I am truly impressed. (For Savanna to go through all of that for her sisters birthday) you have some amazing young ladies and Hannah seemed to throughly enjoy her birthday. Absolutely, beautiful - thank you for sharing this!
