A handmade Christmas candle hoop wreath is the perfect project to get you into the festive spirit this time of year.
Not only is this DIY winter candle hoop wreath a delightful addition to your holiday setup, but it's also easy and fun to make. Follow this step-by-step guide to create a Christmas candle ring wreath you'll adore.
Christmas Candle Hoop Wreath
To begin you will need your supplies and a great place to collect them is Dollar Tree, Amazon, Michaels, Joanns, and Hobby Lobby.
Supplies
Here's everything you'll need to make your Christmas candle hoop wreath:
- Gold metal ring hoop (I bought mine from Dollar Tree and used the 8″ hoop)
- Greenery (real or artificial)
- Candle clips
- Ribbon
- Scissors
- Cutters or pruners
- Hot glue
- Candle
How to Assemble your Christmas Candle Hoop Wreath
Now, let's get into the full details of this easy DIY. Just a little notes to begin my Christmas tree candle clips are silver but the hoop is gold so I used this gold spray paint to paint my clip.
Step 1: Attach the Candle Clip
Begin by using a hot glue gun to secure the candle clip to the metal ring. A helpful tip is to place the glue over the seam of the ring to conceal it. Hold the clip in place for a few seconds to ensure it adheres properly.
Step 2: Add Greenery
Trim small stems of greenery. You can use real or faux greenery.
Then, gently tuck the smaller pieces into the candle clip on either side.
This natural element adds a lush, festive look to your wreath.
If you want to add further embellishment, you can add berries or pine cones using floral wire.
Step 3: Make a Bow
Next cut a piece of ribbon to make a bow. Using your ribbon, tie a bow around the middle of the candle clip.
This adds an elegant touch to your wreath.
Step 4: Create a Hanging Loop
Cut a longer piece of ribbon and tie it to the top of the ring.
This will allow you to hang your candle wreath wherever you choose.
Step 5: Add the Candle
Finally, place a wax candle into the candle holder.
Your Christmas candle ring wreath is now complete and ready to be displayed.
Decorating with a Christmas Candle Hoop Wreath
There are so many ways you can decorate with a Christmas hoop wreath but my favorite is on a window. You can hang them on a window, over a mantel, walls and outside of a bookcase. There are so many fun ideas!
Final Thoughts on the Christmas Candle Hoop Wreath
This handmade candle ring wreath is a perfect addition to your holiday decor. Hang it in your window to add holiday cheer for everyone inside and outside. Christmas candle rings will look beautiful in every window of your home.
Enjoy the beauty and warmth it brings to your home all season long. Embrace the joy of crafting and the satisfaction of creating something uniquely yours.
