At the McDonald house, we are excited to share white and gold Christmas decoration ideas. These ideas are simple to create so you have more time to spend with family.
This year we want to invite you on a virtual McDonald's Christmas home tour where we have lots of white and gold Christmas decoration ideas. We hope you get ideas for your holiday decorating.
WHITE AND GOLD CHRISTMAS DECORATION IDEAS
It is easy to decorate in the colors white and gold. You can find decorations anywhere when it comes to these colors. You can even take any ornaments or decorations and spray paint them in white or gold.
Any color goes nicely with gold and white and wood tone decorations look amazing with them too. You can also use these colors in any theme from farmhouse to Scandinavian.
The options are endless. Let's take a tour of our home to get more white and gold decoration ideas.
MCDONALD'S CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR
There are so many favorite places to show you on the home tour. It's hard to decide where to begin. Starting with a sentimental piece seems right.
WHITE AND GOLD CHRISTMAS MANTLE
Our mantle is a little of old and new holiday decorations.
To begin the project we brought out our Thomas Kinkade print that my sister Pam bought me for Christmas many years ago. It has always been one of my favorite Christmas decorations for the mantle.
This year we decided on a white and gold natural Christmas theme, so we found the wooden trees at TJ Maxx and began building our design from there.
Next, we pulled out these old pinecone lights and garland to create a swag across the fireplace.
Then Hannah came across the beautiful wooden village from Crate and Barrel and we fell in love. The wooden pieces will look nice with white and gold.
Last, for the finishing touch, Hannah brought out her sweater garland. It was the icing on the cake.
Here are more Christmas mantle ideas if you need more inspiration.
GOLD AND WHITE CHRISTMAS TREE DECORATION IDEAS
Believe it or not, our tree is ancient. We purchased it so many years ago. But it has been a great tree, and we love it.
Since we were going for a white and gold Christmas this year we pulled out anything that was white, silver, or gold and began decorating. It is a “less is more” kind of tree because usually, we have lots more ornaments, but we like this new minimalist look.
Here are more minimalist Christmas decorations if you love less is more.
GOLD AND WHITE MATCHING GIFT WRAPPING
Well, if you're going to spend lots of time coordinating all your colors on your Christmas tree and mantle then why not go all out and coordinate your gift wrapped packages to match.
This year we decided on browns, whites, golds and a touch of blue since our living room has some original blues.
CHRISTMAS PILLOWS
I have to admit that these pillows were not purchased to be Christmas pillows, but they work for the holidays. Doesn't the blue pillow look like a snowflake? I never thought of that until we finished all the decor.
Something woke up our kitty Tink while we were doing al the decorating. Isn't this a cute photo?
FRENCH COUNTRY CHRISTMAS NATIVITY
This is where the story of Christmas begins at our house. Years ago I purchased this nativity online, and it has always had a special place in my heart.
This year we took some of the tree trimmings from the back porch and added them around Joseph, Mary, and Baby Jesus along with some of those tiny, little lights underneath.
It makes the nativity glow and reminds us what Christmas is all about.
CHRISTMAS ADVENT BOOK
When the girls were little Marty purchased this book for us to read together each day in December. There are doors on the pages that open to reveal a small part of the Christmas story.
Children love these kinds of books so our girls would take turns opening the doors. Now that the girls are older it is hard to find time daily to read each page, so we read it together on Christmas day as a family.
HOLIDAY WINTER WONDERLAND CHALKBOARD
Our new addition is our chalkboard. I have a feeling this is going to be my new favorite. It's a perfect place for creativity to flow without worrying about messing it up. And sweet messages are easily viewed by all who come in.
Here is another idea where we decorated the chalkboard in a chalkboard boxwood Christmas idea.
CONCLUSION
I hope you all have enjoyed these white and gold decoration ideas and the McDonald's Christmas Home Tour!

Very pretty. It's neat and tidy and yet still projects a lot of warmth. That's a tricky tightrope to walk! You are inspiring me to get off the computer and set up my tree!
