DIY LITTLE GIRL ROOM DECOR
Girls rooms can be so much fun to decorate. When you picture the perfect little girl bedroom in your mind is it sweetly adorned with flowers? Is it every shade of pink? Does the bed look like it's made for a princess? We can't wait to show off what some of our friends have done to make their little girls feel like they have a sweet retreat all of their own.
1. SMALL GIRLS BEDROOM DIY
Our friend Sarah, over at Dreaming of Homemaking, gave her little girl's, Zoe, room a makeover.
Sarah paid attention to every little detail in Zoe's cozy small bedroom. She gave her her own personal hanging rattan chair! What little girl wouldn't be crazy over that?
And Zoe's bed is dreamy with star garland and lots of scrumptious pillows.
We love the beautiful wallpaper and wainscoting! This large print wallpaper adds so much character to this sweet bedroom.
You might remember seeing Sarah's stenciled brick patio concrete in our DIY Flooring Ideas post. This was another amazing design.
How Do You Decorate a Small Bedroom?
I figured after you see Sarah's daughter's room you might want some more ideas on how to decorate a small bedroom.
Well, here are a few other things that will make it feel larger. Use lighter colors, make sure light can travel under the furniture, follow a minimalist approach with limited items on the walls and mirrors always make a space double in size.
2. SHIPLAP & WALL DECAL IN THIS LITTLE GIRLS ROOM
We've shown you Meeghan's, Cali Girl In A Southern World, home in our Cozy Book Nook post. Now we're getting a first-hand view of her little girl's bedroom.
There's lovely shiplap and a floral wall decal as a focal point in the room. Wall decals are an easy way to dress up a child's bedroom and are easy to update.
Everything about this sweet girls room is a breath of fresh air.
3. CANOPY DAYBED FOR A DIY LITTLE GIRL ROOM
This canopy over a daybed makes for a cozy sweet space for any little girl.
Laura Mitchell Interior Design made this area for her daughter.
Hanging a chandelier in a little girl's room is a sure way of making her feel like a princess. What a great idea!
4. DIY MACRAME & A CANOPY IN A GIRLS BEDROOM
We featured a rainbow yarn made from rope and string in our Home Decor Yarn Project post. You can see an adorable gray rope rainbow leading to Jen Boyko's little girl's bedroom on her door. I love DIY room decor ideas like this!
She also includes macrame as part of the wall decor in this bedroom.
A toddler bed with a canopy hanging over it will help make your little girls' bedroom into a big girl's room.
5. FLORAL TENT AND MORE LITTLE GIRL DECOR
Carrissa, from Bless This Nest, did a beautiful job decorating her little Ella's room. From floral wallpaper and garland, this little lady is sure to feel lavished upon.
Adding your little princess's name on her wall will allow the space to really feel like her own. It's an inexpensive way to personalize your little girl's room. You can pick her favorite paint colors to make it perfect. It's a great DIY project you can do together.
6. TURQUOISE WALLS IN A LITTLE GIRL ROOM
Jennifer Prod gave her little girl a princess bed with a gorgeous floral headboard. It is cushioned and will protect her little head from hitting the wall and the geometric shape is fun!
The mirror above her bed isn't just beautiful with its gold frame, it will add a mirage of more space in the room. That's a great decorating trick with mirrors in a room. This little girl's room will translate wonderfully into her big girl room.
7. ADORABLE BEDROOM FOR TWO LITTLE GIRLS
Two little girls are doted upon by having this lovely room. These little ladies are just as precious as this room and we're so excited that Jessica Joy Larson allowed us a glimpse inside their shared bedroom.
The matching twin beds and pretty tattered ribbon garland above are so girlie!
8. FRAMED WORD ART DECOR IN A GIRLS ROOM
Sarah, from Grace In My Space, has a great piece of framed word art decor above her daughter's bed. The quote is a sweet message and a great reminder. Wall art is a great way to personalize your child's room. You can even print out your own wall art and put it in a pretty picture frame.
It's precious how the polka dots in the bedding carry over to the animals on her cube storage bins. It's the little details like this that pull it all together.
9. WALLPAPER IN A LITTLE GIRLS BEDROOM
The wildflower wallpaper in Kenzie's daughter's room, over at The Barnwood Farmhouse, is breathtaking.
Are you thinking of hanging wallpaper? Wallpaper is great for bedroom walls or just an accent wall. Our tips on How To Install Peel And Stick Wallpaper will show you how easy it is to install and remove.
The gray wardrobe with sweet pulls is just the right amount of elegance in a little girl's room.
Also, powder pink bedding is so many little girls dream color. It's a great idea to incorporate your little girl's favorite colors into her decor.
10. TODDLER GIRL BEDROOM WITH A READING NOOK
Katie Lamb shows off her sweet little girl's bedroom on her blog.
She decided to take one of the two closets in the room and change it into a reading nook. It's glamorous!
If you'd like to see more cozy book nooks for inspiration, hop over to our round-up. We love to add a cozy place to a little girl's room that's the perfect place to read their favorite books. Our friends have some great one's. And the bench seats can often double as toy storage.
This little area Katie created, will be one that grows with her angel.
11. FARMHOUSE BABY GIRL NURSERY
This little corner in Krystal's baby girl's nursery, from Wockome To My Life, is so precious. It's the perfect area to rock a little one to sleep or just to cuddle for a while.
The pink and gray color scheme is sweet.
12. Rainbow-Themed Little Girls Room
This sweet little girl's room belongs to my niece. We had so much fun creating this rainbow painted wall and decorating it with a rainbow theme. It adds a lovely pop of color brightening the whole room!
A rainbow themed little girl's room will surely bring a smile to your child's face every day. And a rainbow painted wall is the perfect backdrop for cute bedding and toys. Your little girl will love spending time in her rainbow room, and you'll enjoy seeing her so happy.
