Milk paint is not new, but it is definitely trending. It is a water-based paint and is different from chalk paint, but gives some of the same looks on hand painted furniture. There are many color choices when shopping for milk paint colors.

Miss Mustard Seed makes a milk paint brand that is loved and highly recommended. Today we are showing you some items that have been given a second chance in life after getting a fresh look with these beautiful milk paint colors.
Milk Paint Colors
If you like to keep up with the home decor trends, this is a train you'll want to jump on. You'll be looking from room to room in your home for furniture you can revive and narrowing down all of the milk paint colors. Here are some favorite Miss Mustard Seed paint colors for hand painted furniture.
Ironstone
To begin our journey of looking at different milk paint colors let's start with my first milk paint project. This Windsor chair I rescued from the side of the road. It was black and looking rouch.

I transformed this antique chair using Ironstone. The color and finish has that milky finish it was begging for. Ironstone is a beautiful calm white color.
If you are a beginner check out my how to paint with milk paint post. It will walk you through step by step on creating that timeless farmhouse painted look.

Monica at Burlap Roses Revivals chose the color Ironstone from the milk paint options for this adorable cabinet. As you can see the milk paint goes perfectly in a farmhouse. It can be sanded like chalk paint to give a tattered look to a piece.

Trophy

This hand painted furniture piece was painted with Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint โTrophy, lightly accented with a brown glaze and waxed to a silky smooth finish. The glass in the door was missing, but it's less to clean now and the open look is hot!
There are so many intricate details on this piece by Do Dodson Designs and milk painting it makes them pop.
Luckett Green
Look at all this milk paint chippy goodness! This treasured old sewing desk that belonged to Leslie's at Deeply Southern Home mom has a whole new life with Luckett's Green. If you are looking for a refreshing fun color then this is your ticket. Who wouldn't smile very time they sit down to sew with this color.
Aviary

Well, milk paint doesn't have to be hand painted furniture; it can be a sweet vintage bread box that got a new life with Aviary milk paint and given a rustic look to keep the character.
The hole punched tin has a beautiful design and adds to the look of this antique piece by Blue Truck N Junk.
Farmhouse White

This chest of drawers has been given a great look with Miss Mustard Seed Farmhouse White milk paint by The Mountain View Cottage
The chippy look is trending as you can tell in this post. This furniture can now lighten up any room. If you are expecting a new bundle of joy, it would add a soft piece that will grow with your little munchkin.
Eulalies Sky

Eulalieโs sky is one of the milk paint colors that Miss Mustard Seed offers in her collection. Sometimes when you are a โfurniture flipper,โ there are pieces that you fall in love with and want to keep for yourself. That piece was just that for Jessica at Blue Peaches Furniture who gives old pieces new life daily.
Artissimo

This old dress harp sends a great message to us all. Even small pieces of broken furniture can be given a new life and add much beauty to your home.
Settling on the color Artissimo and adding a ribbon and boxwood wreath makes this a gorgeous art piece painted by Cottle & Gunn.
Laylas Mint & Shutter Gray

Kim at Mimosa Bean Farm mixed two milk paint colors together for this piece, Shutter Gray and Laylaโs Mint. The muted tones of this table allow other colors pop in the room, but it still allows this piece to be a show stealer.
Shutter Gray

We first met Vibeke Design last Fall when we featured her porch in our Fall Porch Design post.
Today we are admiring her milk painted bench. It is perfect for a farmhouse mudroom or entryway.
Aviary
And last but not least is Jennifer's, Eight Hundred Furniture, gorgeous piece of furniture painted in Miss Mustard Seeds Aviary color. Look at the details on this chest. They are so precious but the milk paint is what really gives it charm.
I don't know about you but after seeing all these lovely pieces I need to drop what I am doing and go paint a chair or something. LOL!
