SPRING DECOR USING FLOWERS

Let's begin with one of my favorite things to do, and that is picking flowers.  Grab a basket and scissors and go outside.  Since the days are getting warmer and the flowers are blooming like crazy, it is the perfect time of year to bring some of the lovely flowers inside.  Now place them in baskets or vases around your home.  I usually display flowers over my sink and sometimes in the bathrooms.  It brings everything inside to life.

Another place you can add some flowers is to your bench or table.  In this case, I took some cuttings from the Bradford pear tree and placed them on the seat.

I love how this turned out and as you can see Eugene did too.  He kept eating the leaves.  Naughty Eugene!

SPRING DECOR WITH BUNNIES

Okay, did you know I love bunnies?  I love bunnies so much until I have them everywhere in our house.  One of my favorites is the bunny spoon holder in my kitchen.  I shared him with everyone in my Farmhouse Kitchen Decor post.  But at Easter, I bring out more bunnies for decorations.  Here is a banner that I love to hang and display.  I painted these bunnies this year to a neutral grey color instead of the usual bring color scheme.

This sweet bunny I have had for many years.  I love bringing him out and easily adding him to a current display of accessories.

SPRING DECOR USING CANDY

Easter candy is so much fun to use as a decoration.  Look for a beautiful bowl or find one like this white porcelain bunny bowl to display some candy.  One of my favorite candies to decorate with is Whoppers Robin eggs, but this year I found these Cadbury white mini eggs and couldn't resist.  Have some fun shopping in the Easter candy aisle for your decorations this year.

SPRING DECOR USING EASTER EGGS

In the past, I have used our baskets to decorate with on the dining table, but this year I purchased these wooden eggs and right away knew they would be adorable in my new dough bowl.  So, think about using your basket, bowl or whatever your heart fancies. Just put the basket or bowl on your table then add some grass or hay, Eugene was kind enough to share some of his Timothy Hay, and last, add your eggs. It's so simple and looks fantastic.

SPRING DECOR USING WORD ART

So, I have saved the best for last.  Word art is trendy right now and another great way to add some spring accessories.  Because in our family we celebrate Easter and the resurrection of Jesus I love this spring decoration very much.  Now think about purchasing a small piece of word art to nestle into your current accessories.
