Step 2: Add Cinnamon Sticks

Place two or three cinnamon sticks into the pot. Their warm and spicy aroma is the perfect complement to the fruity grapefruit.

Step 3: Incorporate Rose Petals

Remove petals from a rose. If you have garden roses, use them for their naturally pretty scent. Add about five or six petals to the pot.

Step 4: Optional: Add Chamomile Flowers

If. you choose to use chamomile, pop the flowers off the stems and add five or six blooms to the mix.

Step 5: Add Fresh Mint Leaves

Pick 10-12 fresh mint leaves. Their refreshing scent will enhance the simmer pot's fragrance.

Step 6: Finish with Vanilla

Add one vanilla bean to the pot for a more luxurious touch. The vanilla adds the prettiest aroma.

Step 7: Simmer and Enjoy

Fill the pot with water until all ingredients are submerged. Place it on the stove burner over medium-high heat and bring it to a light boil. Once the water starts to rumble, reduce the heat to a gentle simmer.

Step 8: Add More Water As Needed

Keep an eye on the pot, especially if it is small, as the water will evaporate quickly. Add more water as it evaporates and simmer as long as you like.
